Secure Wooden Crates for Export
Moving your life overseas is a huge step. While you’re busy arranging visas, flights, and planning for the future, the last thing you should have to worry about is whether your belongings will arrive safely.
Unfortunately, cardboard boxes and flimsy packaging often don’t survive the long journey, leading to damage, delays, or disappointment.
That’s why we provide secure wooden crates for export. Built to withstand international shipping and certified to global standards, our timber crates protect everything from clothes and furniture to fragile heirlooms and electronics.
Whether you’re a student heading abroad to study, a family relocating internationally, or an individual starting a new chapter, our crates give you peace of mind that your possessions will make the journey safely. For industrial clients, our wooden packing crates for industry
provide the same level of durability for machinery and manufactured goods.
Why Wooden Crates Are Ideal for Overseas Moves
Ultimate Protection for Everything You Own
Overseas shipping often involves stacking, rough handling, and long journeys at sea or in the air.
Wooden crates are strong enough to resist these pressures, ensuring your belongings arrive exactly as you packed them.
From household goods to delicate personal items, bespoke timber crates provide the highest level of protection.
No Customs Delays. Zero Hassle.
International shipping requires compliance with strict regulations. All of our crates are ISPM 15 certified, meaning they meet global standards for timber packaging.
Using uncertified materials can lead to costly delays or outright rejection at customs. With our crates, you know your shipment is ready to clear borders smoothly. This is especially important during removals & factory shutdowns, when dismantled equipment must clear borders without delay.
Arrive with Confidence
Unlike cardboard boxes, which can collapse under weight or weaken in damp conditions, wooden crates are designed to withstand weeks in transit.
They resist moisture and humidity, making them the safer choice for long-distance moves by sea or air.

Case Study: Twist Design and The Wheels of Industry
Not all exports are straightforward. Over the years, we’ve handled many unusual requests, and one of the most memorable was packaging Twist Design’s Reliant Robin art car, known as The Wheels of Industry.
Commissioned for the Lumiere Light Festival in Durham 2013, the Reliant Robin had been transformed into a work of art, featuring faux stained-glass windows that depicted life in the northeast of England. The design was both striking and delicate with imagery ranging from the Angel of the North to scenes of coal mining and brass bands.
Once the festival ended, the car needed to be shipped safely to Singapore for the iLight Marina Bay sustainable energy festival. This presented a challenge: while the windows were not genuine stained glass, they were still fragile and needed maximum protection throughout transit.
We built a custom wooden crate designed to fit the Reliant Robin perfectly. Shock-absorbing foam covered the windows, padding lined the interior, and bars across the front of the crate helped to keep the vehicle stable during shipping.
Weeks later, the crate was opened in Singapore and the car emerged in perfect condition — ready to take its place as one of the highlights of the international light festival.
The project proved once again that with the right expertise and export-grade wooden crates, even the most unusual items can travel safely across the world. Our expertise also extends to wooden shipping crates for museums & art galleries, protecting priceless artefacts and artworks on international tours.
